About Us

Special Effex designer concrete floors was started in 2005 and we have been creating unique floors every since. Special Effex specializes in concrete resurfacing, crack repair, acid stains and dyes, and epoxy coatings. We have recently come up with our own system to install concrete micro toppings over wood, tile and marble, without adding the weight of regular concrete. We are not limited to concrete surfaces, so, if you are looking for a unique one of a kind flooring system then you have come to the right place.

My name is Craig Adamson and I am the owner of Special Effex. I consider myself very fortunate because I love what I do for a living and not very many people can say that.  You will find me on every job we do, whether we are repairing, overlaying, staining or doing an epoxy coating. One thing is for sure, we are always creating unique works of art for our customers. There is no greater feeling when the customer first gets to see the finished product and you hear the words “I Can’t Believe It’s Concrete” or “I Never Knew Concrete Could Be So Beautiful!”

What makes Special Effex so unique is the fact that everything we do is by hand. All of our overlays are done with special tools that we have created for the look that we are trying to accomplish. We can create almost any look you desire: Tile, Marble, Slate, Flagstone, Brick, Wood and the list goes on and on. We have different ways to apply stain to achieve unique looks as well. We take the ordinary and make it extraordinary. 

Special Effex uses the best products on the market today. We make sure all of our products are safe for the environment. All of our products are green products including acid stains.
